Climate Change Adaptation Information Hub

Griffith University

Collaborator(s): National Climate Change Adaptation Facility NCCARF

Project Description:

The Climate Change Adaptation Information Hub will provide an interactive information hub to improve local, regional and national climate change adaptation responses. The hub will achieve this objective by making existing climate change adaptation data (in all forms) more accessible whilst also facilitating the input, analysis and dissemination of new data and knowledge.

The hub will be a web-based service for identifying, assimilating, and making available, climate change adaptation information (including data and associated tools) to assist researchers in undertaking climate change adaptation research, as well as preserving research data from research.

Data Type:

Input Data:
This will be a web-based service for identifying, assimilating, and making available, climate change adaptation information (including data and associated tools) to assist researchers in undertaking climate change adaptation research as well as preserving research data from research.

Output Data:
This project will result in the collation of climate change adaptation related data and information from multiple sources to produce a single information source for researchers and agencies and institutions involved in climate change related activities.

High Level Software Functionality:

The system will be designed to work on a standard software stack such that it can easily be used at other sites. The web applications code will be hosted on a public resource such as github.org during and after development to allow and encourage external developers to use and modify the code.
