NSW TARDIS Node

University of Sydney

Project Description:

The project will establish a single repository for macromolecular protein crystallography data in NSW ? the NSW TARDIS Node. This is a discipline-based as well as an institutional initiative. There are four instruments in NSW and the ACT producing data suitable for inclusion in TARDIS. These instruments are at University of Sydney (Biochemistry), University of New South Wales (Physics), the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and the Australian National University.

Data Type:

"Protein crystallography data Raw diffraction images straight fromm the instrument Transformed or processed data (also known as structure factors or processed experimental data) Result or structural data, including the coordinates of the molecule."

High Level Software Functionality:

Features: "software system that provides additional TARDIS functionality for :
(a) managing semi-automated embargo and release of data sets on pre-specified dates with a confirmation workflow;
(b) finer granularity of access permissions.
";
